I reached my all-time high bench press: 5 reps of 185. In other news, also reached my all-time high squat a couple of days ago at 5 reps of 265.
I am generally pretty confident with my squatting form but never really got the hang of the bench press form; until now. That is the sole reason why I added 20 pounds to my bench press in a week, shooting past my previous high.
In particular, arch the back, shove the feet into the ground, contract the glutes, pinch the shoulders and shove them into the bench. You will feel the strain on the chest as you do a full motion (touch the chest!).
Also, my shoulders feel much better too. Its all about the form.
