Some thoughts on Complexity

I have been thinking about the The Game of Hormones and Enzymes – Insulin Resistance, Sensitivity and Fat metabolism.

While it is a complex game, this is also a crutch. A form of procrastination. Become a dumb ape for a few moments and lets look at the high level facts:

  • Strength training is the ONLY WAY to reverse insulin resistance
  • Walking after meals activates GLUT4, and this is needed on a daily basis to reverse insulin resistance
  • Fast to give your body time to process the insulin
  • Eat high protein, lower carb to reduce the insulin response
  • Calorie deficit is ultimately needed to draw the fat out
