One thing that I have realized in recent history is that when someone talks about something, it is important to not talk about anything. More than talk is your core. Conversation is a way to convey the idea; but the idea is generated in sync with your core.
What is this babble about “cores”? What does that even mean? Core is similar to the core described in a computer. It describes your instruction set which allows you to process information you obtain from the surrounding environment. And at the same time, it forms the procedures that allow you to react to the processed information.
That is your core. Your core can be programmed; just like an FPGA. And once the FPGA is programmed, you can then compile an operating system that runs on this core.
Right now, your FPGA is your body, your physical attributes, etc. These are the basic controlling aspects that inform your programs. If your instruction set (determined by the implementation of the FPGA) miss certain capabilities, no program you write will be useful for it. Or, well, at the least, it won’t be efficient enough. On the other hand, if your FPGA is capable enough, then you may be able to do more. A fat dude will have a lot of trouble completing that marathon. So will a thin dude, but it is easier for the thin dude to program his core and complete that marathon. He doesn’t need to be restricted by his body’s basic metabolic functions.
Now, can this FPGA be upgraded? Well, sure. Loosing weight, hair styling, muscle, health of the internal organs, etc are somethings that can be controlled and improved. The vessel of the core, can indeed, be improved. I think those become a form of the instruction set which is used by the operating system (habits) to execute. More on this later.
Lets talk about the actual programs running on your instruction set. These are your behaviors. You can modify these programs just like you can modify your behaviors. But your programs are, to a large extent, limited by your FPGA, and thats the reason why the two have to work together.
So, what the fuck am I talking about here? Considering drinking alcohol which is is an affect on the FPGA. It physically affects you… I would say similar to running an OS in a virtual machine. The programs running are the same. But they work slightly differently. So there are two concepts here. The FPGA (physical attributes) and the OS (behaviors, habits, decision making process).
When we combine these two concepts together, we come back to the original question: what is your core?
I believe that our core is kind of like a kernel that is directly compiled for a particular architecture / FPGA.
This shit needs to be solid as hell. Remember 410 – the kernel never dies. Your kernel needs to be solid; it has to pass `slaughter 3 3`. This means that you need to be able to handle a lot of shit thrown at you with grace. Well, that is one interpretation. But I think that is the interpretation I want to go with.
Lets talk about a couple of programs
I just saw Lincoln. There is one quote that I found truly, absolutely fascinating – “what is the use of having a compass pointing north if you are just going to fall into the swamps?”
On the other hand, what about legality? Well, the greatest thing about the democracy is that people reward. The implicit thing about laws are that they are determined by man-made morals. All morals are manmade. A person like a president is one of those practical types who know how to navigate the forest of ideologies and extremities and actually reach north without falling into the swamp.
Another way to look at it is through the concept of global goals and local goals in path planning (AI). A mission manager gives global direction while a local manager actually is responsible for navigating the forest of possibilities. This is crucial because the global manager, or the spiritual leader or the ideological leaders cannot guide the actual practical implementation of their philosophy.
Lets talk about the core (again)
Ways to charm the ladies, intellectually navigate the workplace, having militant-style discipline with workout, etc. These are the various modules running in the OS. The OS itself is like the philosophical framework that I operate in. This is inspired by my religious upbringing, my rejection of many aspects of religions, studying various philosophers over the years, and living in diverse locations during my life.
Lets talk about FPGA
Body, diet, muscles. Caffeine, alcohol, and other experimental stuff. These affect the foundation of the machine.
